- These rules apply to parties, leaders, candidates, workers and media.
- Party leaders get into the debate if the party had at least 5% of the national vote in the last federal election.
- Platforms must be released by the Monday the week before debates. This gives time for voters to analyse, debate, discuss.
- Wil Wheaton's rule: Don't be a dick. In other words, don't be rude, misleading, abusive, etc.
- Questions need answers. Be open to questions from media, voters, etc. Parties, their leaders, candidates and workers are on at least a 35-day job interview for votes from ~20(?) million voters. Not answering questions and misleading answers don't go over well.
- Don't tell me how bad the other guy is. I think for myself and make my own opinions.
- Repeating phrases or concepts attacking the other guy doesn't make it true. It makes it suspect.
- Repeating phrases or concepts promoting you doesn't make it true. It makes it suspect.
- Talk about your platform and opponents platform truthfully. Release facts and analysis to public for review. "Trust us" doesn't cut it.
- Continue with these rules while elected.
